"No true fiasco ever began as a quest for mere adequacy. A motto of the

Thank you, Thank you very much!

Today started off rough-- but I find that sometimes this helps me MORE appreciate the good things.

What I am grateful for today:

(1) The moon-- Miss Priss LOVES the moon! Everytime we go outside she says, "Moon! Moon!" and points at the sky. If it's daytime I say, "No, not time for the moon." To which Maddie says, "Sun!" Ah, she's SO smart! Lately we've had a lot of clouds-- and thus Mr. Moon has not been visible. BUT-- tonight-- crystal clear and a full moon present. Maddie was SO happy! And thus, Mommy was happy.

(2) Maddie singing-- As a small baby, Maddie was not much on rocking. But since she hit 18 months, it has been a requirement before bed. "Chair! Chair!" she says as we enter her room for bedtime. This has become one of my favorite times. The last week or so she has started humming, and even "singing"-- Tonight it sounded like she was making up songs-- including the word "Mommy"-- melted my heart. Man I love that kid!

(3) Red, Red Wine Makes me Feel So Fine! Especially after the aforementioned bad start to the day.
